baroudeur

Second to None!

First introduced in 2018, BAROUDEUR is Superleggero's contemporary reinterpretation of the unforgettable cagoule, the knitted ski hood worn by racing cyclists during winter training and the great spring classics of the 1980s.

Born from the simple need for warmth, BAROUDEUR transforms a forgotten piece of cycling history into a contemporary winter essential. An object originally created for protection against the cold is reimagined through a balance of function, elegance and technical precision.

Made entirely in Italy from 70% Australian extra-fine Merino wool and 30% cashmere, every BAROUDEUR is knitted in gauge 7, giving it a distinctive balance of warmth, softness and structure.

Its colours and distinctive horizontal stripes draw inspiration from the wool jerseys worn by European cycling teams from the 1970s to the 1990s, reinterpreting their unmistakable visual language through contemporary design.

Deliberately free from visible logos. Designed to be recognised by its form.

Protection, identity, attitude.

A forgotten icon becomes contemporary.
