An Unidentified Fashion Object by Superleggero

The tote bag 54 Speciale Critérium is the metamorphosis of the cyclists’ musette into a handbag.

Inspired by the historic jersey of the Critérium du Dauphiné — red with white dots — it revisits an archival graphic code through precision, structure and formal rigor.

Handcrafted in Italy from durable Italian cotton canvas, each piece is assembled from elements sourced from different production bags, making every creation unique.

Volume, balance, precision. The structured base and short handles transform the musette into a new handbag silhouette. Inside, one large pocket and five dividers in Tyvek® define an orderly, lightweight and durable interior.

The front dossard in Tyvek® is one of cycling's most iconic symbols: a simple race number pinned to the back of a rider's jersey, identifying each competitor throughout the race. Superleggero reinterprets it as an interchangeable element applied to the bag.

Each bag comes with two Tyvek® dossards. The remaining five numbers in the series can be purchased separately, allowing countless different combinations.
